The Geauga County Maple Festival is the first OF&EA festival in the State of Ohio and celebrates the production of pure maple syrup. GCMF opens up each year on the last full weekend in April. Festival dates are April 22-25, 2010.
Join us for four days of fun, food and 'everything maple'. Events include Arts & Crafts, Bathtub Races, Concessions, Continuous Grandstand Entertainment, Golden Old Timers Luncheon, Historical Display, Invitational Lumberjack Competition, Pancakes in the Park, 2 Grand Parades, a Photo Contest, Prince & Princess Contest, Queen's Pageant, Rides, and our annual 'Sap Run'.
Most events are free. There are minimal charges for some of the events listed above.
Handicapped parking is available.
As a pre-lude to Festival weekend, join us on Tappin' Sunday, for the ceremonial tapping of the maple tree on Chardon Square and get a taste of the first maple stirs of the season!! Tappin' Sunday will be held Sunday March 14, at 1PM.
